Salt Room
Halotherapy is a method based on breathing air saturated with salt particles. A session lasts 45 minutes.
What halotherapy is
Salt therapy, or halotherapy (from the Greek halo — salt), is a method based on breathing air saturated with the finest salt particles.
The salt room uses sodium chloride of 99.99% purity, of natural and marine origin. The microclimate of the room approximates the conditions of salt caves.
A session lasts 45 minutes. For some people a noticeable effect comes after 1–3 sessions; others attend the room regularly for preventive purposes.
Conditions it is used for
- Asthma, bronchitis, allergic conditions
- Sinusitis and chronic conditions of the upper respiratory tract
- Effects of smoking
- Skin conditions — eczema, psoriasis
- Conditions related to stress and anxiety
Slight coughing or a tickle in the throat during a session is a normal reaction and, as a rule, a sign that the therapy is working.
Halotherapy is not recommended in cases of suspected oncological disease, active infections, acute respiratory illness, heart disease, tuberculosis and elevated blood pressure.
Consult a doctor before your first session — particularly if you have chronic conditions.
